Mapping changes

In this assignment, your task is to describe how populations changed across the United States over the years 2020-2024. To do this, use the Census data that we used in class, and then make and interpret maps of how much population sizes of counties changed between 2020 and 2024. (You only need to look at two years, you don’t need to look at all four years unless you want to.) Please pay attention to (and explain) whether to use absolute or relative population size change, and ensure that the final map(s) are not dominated by statistical noise. Also, at some point please provide a map that zooms in on some interesting area, as well as a state-level map, produced using a spatial aggregation method.
